Outdoor Learning
Outdoor learning is a key part of our curriculum, taking place every Friday beyond the classroom to provide hands-on, experiential learning opportunities.
Learning isn't limited to the confines of the classroom. As emphasized in The Third Teacher, the most profound learning often takes place when children are given the freedom to spend countless hours outdoors, delving into investigations, conducting experiments, exploring, and engaging in play (OWP/P Architects, VS Furniture, & Bruce Mau Design, 2010). Therefore, we place significant emphasis on outdoor learning, which is integrated into our curriculum every Friday. This unique approach extends beyond the classroom to include the greenhouse, community facilities, project-based learning, field trips, celebrations, competitions, and collaborative activities.
Our Outdoor Learning Activities:
Celebrations: Raya, Chinese New Year, Deepavali, and birthdays.
Talent Cultivation: Storytelling, fashion shows, and singing.
Field Trips: Visits to community and domestic locations.
This approach ensures that children have diverse and enriching experiences that extend beyond traditional classroom boundaries.
