Project Based Learning

Our project-based learning approach emphasizes creativity and resourcefulness, often involving the creation of products from locally sourced raw or recycled materials.

We strive for continuous improvement by embracing authenticity and involving community stakeholders to facilitate meaningful and relevant learning experiences that resonate with students' culture, lives, and future aspirations (Boss & Larmer, 2018). At TMC, we frequently orchestrate nature-inspired and recycling projects for the children. These initiatives center around the creation of items using raw or recycled materials readily available in the local environment. Just like our farming project, these hands-on workshops engage children in a meticulous process, allowing them to witness the metamorphosis of natural materials such as wood, coconut, and bamboo into finished products like stools, traditional Chinese rattles, kites, flower pots, and candle holders.

These activities foster creativity, environmental awareness, and practical skills, ensuring children have enriching and hands-on learning experiences.
